A Conversation with Fire

In our last story, we learned about how the Israelites became slaves of Egypt, and how Moses was found by Pharaoh's daughter by the river and then reunited with his mother. In this story, we will learn how Moses grew up and became concerned about his people being treated poorly by the Egyptians and despite his flaws, God calls Moses to lead his people, as inspired by the book of Exodus.

Exodus 3:14
Moses, once a baby in a river basket, is now grown. Though he's an adopted Hebrew prince, his people suffer under Pharaoh's cruelty. Their cries reach God, but His response seems delayed. God always hears, even if His answer isn't immediate. When God finally responds, it's often unexpected, just like His plan to free the Israelites. Moses, living in the desert, encounters a burning bush—a voice of God. He's tasked with a mighty mission: to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. Despite fear and excuses, God reassures Moses with His name: "I Am who I Am." Moses learns to focus on what God can do, not his own limitations.
