2 Samuel 7:13
King David desires to build a house for God but is told by the prophet Nathan to wait. God promises to build David a permanent house, signifying a dynasty of descendants who will rule as kings after him. And He assures David that his kingdom will endure forever, with an unending throne. These promises foretell the birth of Jesus, a descendant of David, who would establish an eternal kingdom. As part of God's forever kingdom, we, too, are heirs to His blessings through faith in Jesus, securing our place in His eternal family.
