Temptation is when you're enticed to disobey God, often by your desires, others, or the devil. Like in the Garden of Eden, Satan deceived Eve, making her doubt God's truth. Temptation never delivers on its promise; sin has consequences. Achan, tempted by riches in Jericho, hid them against God's command. When discovered, the consequences were dire: Israel suffered defeat and loss. Sin hurts those God loves, like you! Jesus took sin's hurt upon Himself, rising victorious.
