Achan Sins

Achan Sins

In our last story, we learned at the battle of Jericho, the Israelites followed God’s instructions to march around the city and the walls fell down and crumbled and the Israelites captured the city. In this story, we learn about how Achan took things he was not allowed to take and so when the army went against the city of Ai, they were defeated, as inspired by the book of Joshua.

Joshua 7:1
Temptation is when you're enticed to disobey God, often by your desires, others, or the devil. Like in the Garden of Eden, Satan deceived Eve, making her doubt God's truth. Temptation never delivers on its promise; sin has consequences. Achan, tempted by riches in Jericho, hid them against God's command. When discovered, the consequences were dire: Israel suffered defeat and loss. Sin hurts those God loves, like you! Jesus took sin's hurt upon Himself, rising victorious. Trusting in Him, we can conquer sin too. Next time, hear how God stopped the sun for a great victory. The Bible is God's true story to you.
