1 Kings 1:30
The aging King David struggles to stay warm, while, his son Adonijah plots to seize the throne. When Bathsheba and the prophet Nathan inform David, he fulfills his promise to make Solomon king. Adonijah fears retribution from Solomon but receives grace instead. Grace is getting something you don't deserve, similar to Jesus granting us eternal life despite our sins. We should thank Jesus for His never-ending grace and share it with others. Solomon's wise decision exemplifies his promising reign as king.
