1 Samuel 16:7
Surprise! The next king of Israel was an unexpected shepherd boy named David. Samuel assumed God would pick the strongest, eldest son of Jesse, but God had a different perspective. David, with God's spirit upon him, was chosen, and his journey would have ups and downs, but God's constant presence remained. God emphasized that true beauty isn't external but radiates from within—our character, kindness, and love are lasting. The Bible reminds us that lasting beauty is in a gentle, kind heart, as highlighted in 1 Peter 3:3-4. David was chosen for his heart, reflecting God's character. Remember, your beauty comes from within, as God sees it.
