1 Samuel 19:18
Whew! David's still in the clear, evading Saul's murderous plans. As we learned last time, Saul's envy spiked when David's victories made him a beloved figure among the people. Michal, David's wife, pulled a clever trick to help him escape Saul's wrath. David sought refuge with Samuel, a trusted and wise mentor who'd been with him from the start. Ever had a 'Samuel' in your life? Someone you can trust and confide in? Remember, sharing your worries with a trusted adult can be a huge relief. God's always watching over you, ready to protect you when needed. Proverbs 3:25-26 offers a reassuring promise: ""Don’t be afraid of sudden fear... for the Lord will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being taken."" Take a moment to appreciate the people God has placed in your life to guide and protect you.
