David on the Run

David on the Run

In our last story, we learn that Samuel passes away and David marries Abigail. In this story, we learn that Saul tries to attack David again and again David chooses to spare Saul’s life, inspired by the book of 1 Samuel.

1 Samuel 26:9
David, still on the run, refrains from harming Saul, showing his desire to please God. His friends suggest hurting Saul, but David chooses not to because he recognizes Saul as God's anointed king. We can learn from David to trust God in difficult situations when people are unkind. God sees everything that happens to us, and His ways are higher than ours. Like David and Jesus on the cross, we should trust God's plan and seek guidance if needed.
