1 Samuel 18:28-29
David now has a very special friendship with Jonathan. Plus, David finds love and marries Saul's daughter, Michal. The Israelites adore David so much that they can't stop praising him. Saul hears their songs and isn't pleased. He used to be the favorite, the admired one in charge, but now David's fame outshines him, making Saul furious. Ever felt jealous? Jealousy can hit for various reasons. But remember, God made us all unique with distinct gifts and abilities, like our fingerprints. Focusing on what others have can breed bitterness, but when you focus on what God has given you and who He made you to be, gratitude replaces envy. Saul's jealousy keeps growing, but David's on a winning streak, loved by many, with a thriving friendship and marriage.
