2 Kings 5:15
Gehazi learned a tough lesson in today's story. Naaman, initially desiring a miraculous sign, embraced faith when healed. Faith, as Hebrews 11:1 defines, is trust in God's unseen promises. God delights in this kind of belief. Naaman, offering gifts to Elisha, faced refusal. Gehazi, displeased, pursued Naaman, leading to deceit and disobedience. Elisha, discerning Gehazi's actions, declared leprosy upon him. This cautionary tale reminds us that sin, though concealed, eventually surfaces. We're urged to confess and seek God's forgiveness, embracing His love and mercy daily.
