Jacob Meets Rachel

Jacob Meets Rachel

Before this story, we learned how Jacob deceived his father into giving him his blessing instead of Esau. Esau wanted revenge so Rebekah told Jacob to stay with her brother Laban. Now, we will learn about Jacob’s vision of a ladder and his desire to marry Laban’s daughter Rachel, inspired by the book of Genesis.

Genesis 28:10-12
God's love is unconditional, and no matter how much we mess up or make mistakes, He will never leave us. The Bible assures us that nothing can separate us from God's love in Christ Jesus. In our story, Jacob made some terrible choices and had to leave home because of the consequences. He felt unlovable and alone on his journey. But God showed up in an incredible dream, assuring Jacob of His promises and love. God's message to Jacob was clear: He would be with him wherever he went. And true to His word, God led Jacob to find his family and even a wife, Rachel, to start a blessed and growing family. God's love never quits, and His promises always come through. Jacob learned this firsthand, and it's a lesson for all of us.
