Jehoshaphat’s Victory

Jehoshaphat’s Victory

In our last story, Jehoshaphat becomes king and is entirely devoted to God. He sent officials to teach the law in the towns of Judah. He also built strong, walled cities. In this story, Jehoshaphat will appoint judges and face war, as inspired by 2 Chronicles.

2 Chronicles 20:15
King Jehoshaphat leads Judah into a transformation. Determined to honor God, he institutes fair leadership and eliminates false worship, fostering unity and obedience among the people. Despite good intentions, challenges arise when three formidable armies threaten Judah. Fear grips the nation, but Jehoshaphat, undeterred, rallies them to pray. United in prayer, they recall God's past faithfulness. God responds through Prophet Jahaziel, assuring victory. Facing the approaching armies, Judah defies convention. Instead of weapons, they wield musical instruments, choosing worship over fear. This act exemplifies living by faith—believing God's truth despite uncertainty. Worshipping in fear reaffirms God's promises.
