Philemon

Philemon

In this story, one of the many people he visited with was Onesimus, a slave who had run away. Paul will write a letter to his owner, Philemon, to accept him back as a brother.

Philemon 1:7
Philemon, a wealthy man who became a Christian through Paul’s preaching, had a servant named Onesimus who stole from him and fled. Onesimus converted to Christianity in Rome under Paul’s guidance and realized he needed to make amends. Paul wrote to Philemon, asking him to forgive Onesimus and accept him as a servant and a brother in Christ. This letter, filled with themes of reconciliation and redemption, teaches us about the power of forgiveness and the transformative impact of faith in repairing relationships.
