1 Samuel 13:13
In today's story, we bid farewell to Samuel, a wise leader. Saul's character becomes clearer, showcasing his pride, impatience, and stubbornness. Meanwhile, his son Jonathan demonstrates remarkable bravery. However, the rest of God's people act quite the opposite—running, hiding, and even aligning with their enemies. Saul's impatience leads him to act against God's plan, offering a sacrifice meant for priests. He prioritizes his feelings over obedience, a mistake we often make, driven by our emotions rather than God's truth. We're reminded that while feelings are important, we shouldn't let them dictate our actions. Just like Saul, we should trust in God's Word, overriding our fleeting emotions.
