1 Samuel 15:26
God instructed Saul to utterly destroy the Amalekites, but he chose to keep the finest animals, seeking popularity over obedience. When confronted, Saul made excuses, revealing his pride. Pride leads to disobedience when we think we know better than God, a dangerous mindset. God values whole-hearted obedience, not just part compliance. Saul's disobedience cost him his kingship, underscoring the importance of obedience to God. Ephesians 6:1 urges you to obey your parents—it's a command from God. They have more life experience and knowledge, guiding you for your safety and growth. Trust and obey; curiosity is good, but disobedience isn't.
