In our last story, Adonijah exalted himself as the king, but David made sure to anoint Solomon as king. In this story, David will give instructions to Solomon as he begins to rule as king and he will carry them out, inspired by 1 Kings.

A new era dawns as Solomon takes the throne. Reflecting on King David's life, we learned valuable lessons: God values our hearts, His strength conquers giants, He's our refuge in adversity, and forgiveness restores our hearts. David's imperfections offer hope that we can rise from our own mistakes. Solomon, a wise listener, heeded his father's counsel, teaching us to respect wisdom. David's best advice to Solomon: ""Obey God."" David passed away after 40 years of rule, leaving behind a legacy.
