1 Samuel 9:16
Today, Israel officially has a king—Saul. Saul was tall, handsome, and from a reputable family. However, his true connection with God remains a mystery. Often, it's easy to focus on appearing good externally rather than having a genuine, heartfelt relationship with God. Looking forward, we meet David, described as 'a man after God’s own heart.' Back to Saul, he embarks on his journey as king, nervous but aware that God has chosen him for a purpose. The Spirit of the Lord is with Saul, fulfilling the people's longing for a king. Join us next time for Saul's victories and one grand celebration.
