Daniel 5:23
Imagine seeing a huge hand writing a message on your wall during a party! That's what happened to King Belshazzar at his big party. But instead of having fun, he ended up learning a hard lesson because he didn't respect God or His rules. Belshazzar used gold cups from God's temple to party and praise fake gods. God wasn't pleased and sent a message right on the wall telling the king he was not honoring Him. Daniel, who always followed God, explained the message to Belshazzar. It said because the king didn’t honor God, he would lose his kingdom. That very night, it happened just like that. This story reminds us to value what's truly important like kindness and honesty, not just fun and being popular. God sees what’s in our hearts, and when we honor Him, He honors us too.
