Daniel 1:19-20
When God's people were taken far from home to Babylon, it was a hard time for them. But even though they were being punished, God didn't stop loving or taking care of them. King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon picked some of the smartest and strongest Jews to help him lead because Babylon was a huge city with many different people. Among them were Daniel, Hananiah, Azariah, and Mishael—four young friends who loved God deeply. They chose to eat veggies instead of the king's rich food to follow God's rules. This wise choice kept them healthy and smart. God blessed them for their kindness and truthfulness, helping them become leaders who could take care of others.
