In our last story, we learned about the Red Sea crossing and God providing Manna in the desert. In this story, we will learn about God’s continued provision and the battle against the Amalekites, as inspired by the book of Exodus.
The Israelites had won a big battle they thought was impossible. They were tired, dusty, and not soldiers. Yet, God fought for them against the Amalekites. God told Moses to write this victory down so they'd remember His strength. The Israelites were forgetful, like when they complained about water. God, patient with their learning, told Moses how to get water from a rock. He also helped them win a battle. Moses held his hands up, and when he did, they were victorious. Moses knew God was their King, their banner. If they followed God, He'd provide and fight for them. Next time, hear about God's rules and His special house in the desert.
