John 3:17
Jesus’ conversation with Nicodemus shows us how being born again is not about following a list but about transforming our hearts through faith in Jesus. Nicodemus, who loved rules, learned from Jesus that God’s love is about changing from the inside out, not just doing good things to look good to others. Jesus explained that true worship and connection with God require a new birth—an inner transformation that only the Holy Spirit can achieve in us. This story encourages us to look beyond our actions and check our hearts. Are we close to God only outwardly, or has our inner life been transformed by His love and grace? It’s a powerful reminder that God’s kingdom is about life and that life is a gift given through belief in His Son.
